Friday, June 7, 2024 - Port Hope, ON
The Municipality of Port Hope is pleased to provide the certified results of the 2024 Ward 2 (Rural Area) Municipal By-Election.
A total of 1,248 votes were cast out of 3,805 eligible electors, representing a voter turn out of 32.8% in Ward 2 of the Municipality of Port Hope.

The results of the 2024 municipal Ward 2 (Rural Area) By-election will be announced on election night, Thursday, June 6, 2024. Polls close at 8:00 p.m. After the results are tallied and verified, the results will be released to the public. This is expected to happen shortly after 8:30 p.m.
In-Person Announcement at Town HallElection results will be announced by the Clerk in-person at Town Hall (56 Queen Street) in the Council Chambers. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for guests to arrive.

Today, Municipality of Port Hope Council, alongside staff and community members, gathered to commemorate the beginning of Pride Month. This was marked by a Progressive Pride flag raising at Town Hall.

Eligible electors in Ward 2 are reminded that the voting period for the 2024 Ward 2 (Rural Area) Municipal By-election is officially open.
Those who have not received a Voter Instruction Letter can still be added to the Voters’ List. Contact staff by email or call 905-885-4544 ext. 0
Voting Period:The voting period is open from June 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. until June 6, 2024 until 8:00 p.m.
