Notice of Amendment to Development Charges By-law

The Corporation of the Municipality of Port Hope has passed an amendment to Development Charges By-law 63-2019. The amendment deletes the expiry of the 2019 Development Charges By-law currently in effect. This Amendment was passed by Council on July 9, 2024 through By-law 43-2024.

Temporary Cavan Street Closure

Update 7/16/24: Cavan Street is now Open. 

Please be advised that Cavan Street (from Highland Drive to Barrett Street) is closed due to a large overnight fire at the former File Factory (121 Cavan Street).

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and the road will remain closed while the investigation is taking place over the course of the next several days.

Filming Activities – July 2

Reaper’s Image Productions will be filming scenes for “Fairview” on July 2, 2024, in the area surrounding Town Hall. Film crews will be working between multiple locations in the surrounding area and at a private residence on Bruton Street.
