Smoke Detected at Town Hall

Residents are advised that Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services attended to a call at Town Hall this evening after receiving a report of smoke in the basement of the building. Firefighters responded quickly and have confirmed that there is a small amount of smoke but no active fire in the building. Investigations as to the cause of the smoke are continuing. No injuries have been reported.
