Traffic Simulation on Walton Street

The Municipality is gearing up for another round of public engagement for the Walton Street reconstruction project. From Thursday, September 9 to Wednesday, September 14, 2021, municipal staff and the project consultant will be conducting a traffic simulation on Walton Street at Ontario Street where they will simulate the removal of the turning lane and monitor the traffic flow data. COVID-19 Update: Additional Facilities Open

The Municipality of Port Hope is pleased to share that additional municipal facilities are now open for in-person services and that certain services will continue to be conducted via appointments to enhance efficiencies.
Staff services and continuity of businessIn-person services are now available at Town Hall (56 Queen Street), the Development Team Office (5 Mill Street South), and the Fire Administration Office (245 Ontario Street).

Transit Disruptions – September 1, 2021

Residents are advised that CP Rail will undertake significant construction work along the CP tracks, spanning the length of the CP Rail train trestle. This rail work includes a large crew from CP Rail and will impact traffic flow below the CP Rail trestles, from John Street to King Street on August 31 and September 1, 2021.

The Municipality has just received notice that CP Rail will undertake significant construction work along the CP tracks, spanning the length of the CP Rail train trestle*. This rail work includes a large crew from CP Rail and will impact traffic flow below the CP Rail trestles, from John Street to King Street on August 31 and September 1, 2021.
*The CP Rail trestle is located north of the CN Rail trestle.
