The Provincial Government has announced the extension of Ontario’s public emergency to April 14, 2020, which includes additional mandatory closures of public spaces within municipalities, in an effort to further slow the spread of COVID-19 and to encourage people to stay home.

Special Council Meeting April 2

The Municipality of Port Hope will hold a Special Council Meeting on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 2 p.m. for Council to consider procedural amendments related to Bill 187 - an Act to amend the Municipal Act, 2001 that was passed and received Royal Assent on March 19, 2020 by the Province of Ontario.
The Special Council Meeting will be conducted via web conference. Council will consider an amendment to the Procedural By-law to permit Council to participate electronically in open and closed meetings...
