Ontario enters Step 3 of the Reopening Roadmap on Friday, July 16, 2021, with COVID-19 public health measures still in effect for all Ontarians. We look forward to welcoming the community back to our recreation facilities and to offering limited, modified programs and activities for residents to enjoy. As part of the Municipality’s ongoing efforts to enhance communication with the community, we are pleased to provide notice of a Site Plan Application from Forbes Bros Ltd. on contract to Xplornet Communications Inc., on behalf of the owners James and David McHolm, for the lands municipally known as 3250 County Road 2. New Pedestrian Crossings

The Municipality of Port Hope has entered into agreement with Ashland Construction Group for the installation of two pedestrian crossings on our behalf starting the week of July 5, 2021. The crossings will be installed at the intersection of Peter Street & Nelson Street and at the intersection of Ontario Street & Bloomsgrove Avenue.

Suction Dredging in Outer Harbour 2021

Residents are advised that we are conducting a suction dredge of the Port Hope outer harbour beginning on Friday, July 2, 2021, to remove sediment build-up of the area. During this work, the boat launch and surrounding areas will remain open until further notice. If a closure is deemed necessary, a notice will be posted on the municipal website and at the site.
