Ganny Weekend Road Closures and Parking Restrictions

Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny returns this weekend to the mighty Ganaraska River on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Please take note of the following impacts:
Road closuresBarrett Street Bridge will be closed beginning Friday, April 12 at 8:00 a.m. until Saturday, April 13, at 6:00 p.m. for setup and preparation work.
Residents are advised of the following road closures on Saturday, April 13 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate the annual race.

Filming Downtown – April 14 to 19

As many have noticed, our beautiful Downtown is looking a little different again. These changes are only temporary to accommodate filming for the production “Fairview” that will be taking place on Walton Street and Queen Street
Residents can expect temporary parking impacts, road closures, transit re-routes, and intermittent traffic stops that may cause delays. Pedestrian traffic and storefront access will be maintained. Port Hope is still open for business during filming!

Easter Holiday Closures

Residents are advised of the following impacts to services due to the upcoming Easter Holiday.
Administrative building closures:Municipal administrative buildings are closed on Friday, March 29 and Monday, April 1, 2024.
For urgent services related to water or roads, call 905-885-2431 and press * to reach our after-hours emergency line.
Transit service impacts:Municipal Transit service will run on a modified schedule for the holiday weekend.

Filming Activities on Queen Street – March 27 and 28

Reaper’s Image Productions is expected back in Downtown Port Hope next week to film more scenes for their upcoming project, “Greetings from Fairview”. Set dressing will be taking place from March 24 to 26 with filming on March 27 and 28 inside and outside the Capitol Theatre. Please be advised of the following impacts:
Wednesday, March 27- Queen Street (from Walton Street to Augusta Street)
- Intermittent pedestrian delays: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Intermittent traffic stops: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Family Day Closures

A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings will be closed and transit service unavailable on Monday, February 19, 2024, for the Family Day holiday. Municipal recreation facilities will remain open for the day. Please note the 25m pool at the Jack Burger Sports Complex will be closed for repairs.
The Port Hope Public Library branches and the Hope Transfer Station will be closed on February 18 and 19.
