Port Hope to Host Peterborough Petes Preseason Exhibition Game Against the Oshawa Generals

Port Hope’s Jack Burger Sports Complex (JBSC) will host an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) exhibition game on September 4, 2023. The Peterborough Petes will be taking on long-time rival the Oshawa Generals.
This game will be hosted in partnership with the Town Park Recreation Centre (TPRC) Expansion Fundraising Committee and the Port Hope Panthers. Attendees can expect a 50/50 draw, Peterborough Petes jersey raffle, silent auction table, and more.

Residents are advised that the Outdoor Fitness Equipment at the Cavan Street Park is closed today, Thursday, May 4, 2023, for approximately three weeks to install rubber surfacing.

Temporary closure of portion of Waterfront Trail

Residents are advised that the Waterfront Trail, from the Chemetron Lagoon parking lot to Gages Creek is temporarily closed on Thursday, May 4, 2023. The closure is to conduct trail upgrades to allow for safer, easier access to the Wastewater Treatment Plant shoreline chamber for future unscheduled maintenance.
The closure is anticipated to last one day, and the Trail will re-open on Friday, May 5, 2023.

Residents are advised that the Town Park Recreation Centre will be closed on Thursday,
May 4, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to complete work on the sewer system as part of the facility expansion project. The Centre will be open for evening programs.
To accommodate this closure, some programs are cancelled, and other programs are relocated to the Jack Burger Sports Complex. Program participants affected will be notified.
