Family Day Closures

A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings will be closed and transit service unavailable on Monday, February 17, 2025, for the Family Day holiday. Municipal recreation facilities will remain open for the day.
The Port Hope Public Library branches and the Hope Transfer Station will also be closed on February 17.
All the above municipal services will resume at their usual business hours on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

The Municipality of Port Hope is advising all residents to prepare for a Significant Snowfall Warning issued by the Government of Canada. The following details outline what to expect and how to stay safe:
Weather Overview and Timing- Beginning this evening (February 12) and ending Thursday (February 13) afternoon. The heaviest snow is expected to fall overnight and into Thursday morning.
- Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are expected.

Residents are reminded that the deadline to submit a nomination for the Civic Awards program is only one month away, on March 6, 2025.

Walton Street Parking Meters Installed

Parking meters have now been installed on Walton Street within the Phase 2 construction area, marking the return of metered parking in this section of downtown Port Hope.
Parking enforcement in this area will resume on Monday, February 3, 2025.

A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
