Flags Lowered to Honour Former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario David Onley

The flags* at Town Hall have been lowered today to half-mast to honour the life of former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario David Onley, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 72.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for our region, expected Wednesday (January 25) afternoon into Thursday morning. It is likely that significant, rapidly accumulating snowfall and low visibility will occur, with possible power outages.

A presentation of the proposed budget will take place at the upcoming Special Meeting of Finance Committee on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, and continue Thursday, February 2, 2023. Sculthorpe Marsh Parking Lot Closure

Residents are advised that a long-term closure of the Sculthorpe March parking lot will begin on Monday, February 6, 2023, to accommodate the industrial cleanup work conducted by the Port Hope Area Initiative at the Chemetron Lagoon.
Alternative parking is available at the corner of Lake Street and Hope Street, and overflow parking is available further down the Waterfront Trail, at Gages Creek.
