Annual Railway Vegetation Management Program

Residents are advised that CN Rail is conducting vegetation control activities in the Municipality until October 2023. Once available, a regularly updated schedule and FAQ will be available at www.cn.ca/vegetation.

Please be advised that service has been restored to the Cobourg Transit Route (Route C – Cobourg Express Shuttle) and will now be operating as usual. Thank you for your patience.

A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. This date and time was selected based on the confirmed availability of all members of Council.

A Statement from Mayor Hankivsky regarding an incident at the Jack Burger Sports Complex

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I report that on the evening of Tuesday, June 13, 2023, an adult male passed away as a result of a suspected medical incident at the Jack Burger Sports Complex.
Municipal staff, who are highly trained in emergency response, acted quickly and appropriately, administering CPR in an effort to save the man’s life. CPR was continued until emergency personnel arrived and responded. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
