Filming Activities – July 2

Reaper’s Image Productions will be filming scenes for “Fairview” on July 2, 2024, in the area surrounding Town Hall. Film crews will be working between multiple locations in the surrounding area and at a private residence on Bruton Street. Both municipal staff and the production company are working diligently to complete the filming for this project, aiming to minimize disruptions to residents and businesses.

Canada Day Road Closures and Parking Restrictions

Canada Day is fast approaching and residents are advised of the following impacts to accommodate this year's celebrations. 

Road Closures

The parade route has been adjusted this year due to the Walton Street Reconstruction Project. Residents are advised of the following road closures from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024, to accommodate the annual Canada Day parade:

• Bramley Street South and North (from Charles Street to Trafalgar Street)

Reaper’s Image Productions will be filming additional scenes for “Fairview” on June 27, 2024. Film crews will be working between two locations on June 27 (both at private residences):

Filming activities at a private residence on Knoxville Road are not expected to impact the public.

Canada Day Closures

Residents are reminded that municipal administrative buildings, recreation facilities, the Port Hope Public Library branches, and the Hope Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, July 1, 2024 for the Canada Day holiday. All municipal staff services will resume at their usual operating hours on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
