Port Hope Fair Parking Restrictions and Transit Interruptions

The annual Port Hope Fair is back from September 12 to 15, 2024. Residents are reminded of the following impacts:
Parking restrictionsTo alleviate traffic congestion and ensure emergency vehicle access to the fair grounds and surrounding neighbourhood, there will be no parking from September 12 at 8:00 a.m. to September 15 at 5:00 p.m. on the following streets:
- No-parking on the west side of Elgin Street North (from Ward Street to Croft Street)
- No-parking on the west side of Deblaquire Street...
West Beach Remediation Update

The PHAI remediation work at the Waterworks West site, which began in late 2022, has reached an exciting milestone for the community. To date, approximately 24,000m³ of soil has been successfully removed, and CNL is now able to return a portion of the site back for community use.

Labour Day Holiday Closures

A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings, the Hope Transfer Station, Transit Services, the Town Park Recreation Centre, and the Public Library branches will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024 for the Labour Day Holiday.
The Jack Burger Sports Complex will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for adult and public swimming.
All municipal services will resume at their usual business hours on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Applications are now open for the Community Grant and Donations Program. These programs are designed to assist non-profit community organizations and registered charities in Port Hope.
