2024 Municipal Holiday Hours

Administrative office holiday hours will take effect beginning on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. and will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at their regular office hours.
During this time, municipal administrative offices remain closed and administrative staff services will not be available.
For urgent services related to water, wastewater or roads, call 905-885-2431 and press * to reach our after-hours emergency line. The after-hours line can also be reached by dialing 1-855-961-7019.

Walton Street Reopening Update

The Municipality of Port Hope is pleased to announce that the reconstruction of Walton Street (Phase 2) is nearly complete.
The festivities planned for this weekend, including the Candlelight Walk, Block Friday: Moonlight Madness, and Santa Claus Parade will proceed as planned.

The Municipality of Port Hope acknowledges the recent announcement by the Province of Ontario regarding their direction to Ontario Power Generation (OPG) related to a potential opportunity for electricity generation at their Wesleyville property.
