Settlement Reached Regarding Mason Homes Development - Phase 5B Lands

At their meeting on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, Municipality of Port Hope Council announced that a settlement has been reached regarding Phase 2 of OLT File OLT-22-003126 (also referred to as Phase 5B Lands) of the Penryn Mason Homes subdivision development. A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.

Council Denies Request to Demolish 65 Ward Street

Thursday, June 29, 2023 - Port Hope, ON

At a Special Meeting this evening, Council for the Municipality of Port Hope voted to deny the Heritage Alteration Permit Application for Demolition filed by the property owner for the buildings located at 65 Ward Street.

At the meeting, Council heard seven delegations and multiple verbal submissions from the public. The format of the meeting allowed for members of the public to address Council prior to their decision.
