Recreation Subsidy & Fee Assistance

Port Hope supports community and individual well-being through a collaborative delivery system comprised of sustainable parks, recreation, and cultural opportunities that are accessible to all. The purpose of the Subsidy and Fee Assistance policy is to establish financial eligibility criteria to provide subsidy/fee assistance to residents of Port Hope.

The intention of this policy is to address the complex and multi-faceted barriers faced by low income families who would like to participate in community recreation. This Policy applies to all Port Hope residents who qualify for assistance. Subsidy may be granted for recreation programs, aquatics and day camp.

For more information on the Port Hope Fee Assistance Policy, please contact the Program Coordinator at the Town Park Recreation Centre, 62 McCaul St. 905 885 7908.

Programs like KidSport Northumberland, Northumberland Sports Council JoinInNorthumberland, Jumpstart, Northumberland County Children's Services and more may be available for financial support. For more information on other Subsidy & Fee Assistance programs in our community that pertain to sports, child care, and more, please contact Julia Snoek, Program Coordinator at 905 885 7908 or jsnoek@porthope.ca
