We are pleased to offer a wide variety of programs available for Seniors at our recreation facilities. 

Senior's Month

Older Adult Information and Active Living Fair

A free public event held to bring awareness to older adults of the services that are available in our community.  Join us for a trade show, prizes, fitness demonstrations and education sessions! Anyone is welcome to attend. An expected 45 vendors will be presented including Community Care, Parkinson Society, Ministry of Finance, Elder Abuse Ontario, Hear Right Canada, Osteoporosis Canada, and many others.

Date: Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 1:00pm-5:00pm
Location: Town Park Recreation Centre

Older Adult Open House

A free public event designed to provide you with the opportunity to tour facilities, receive program information, meet new people, and ask questions.  This Port Hope wide initiative is focused to provide older adults with the chance to learn more about services in our community.  Lemonade social to follow at the library at 3:00pm.

Drop-in programs including badminton, pickleball, indoor shuffleboard, walking club, men's activity club and more. Register for some of our wellness or fitness classes including Zumba, Zumba Gold, gentle yoga, HeartWise Chronic Health Program, and seniors beat the clock.


Jack Burger Sports Complex

Examples of programs include aquafitness, recreational swimming, adult skating and shinny (seasonal)

Ruth Clarke Activity Centre

81 Mill Street

The Ruth Clarke Activity Centre offers a variety of opportunities for members 55 years or older. Programs include scrabble, bridge, painting classes, chess, euchre, tai chi, darts, canasta and more!
