Road and Parking Restrictions: September 27, 2019 – September 28, 2019

Step Up For Mental Health, Cameco 5km Run

The following street closures and parking restriction will be in place on the dates and times listed to accommodate the Step Up For Mental Health Run.

  • Restrict parking on Augusta Street, from Elias Street to Queen Street, on Friday September 27, 2019 at 7:00 a.m. continuously until Saturday September 28, 2019 until 3:00 p.m.;
  • Closure of Augusta Street, from Elias Street to Queen Street, on Friday September 27, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. continuously until Saturday September 28, 2019 until 3:00 p.m.;
  • Closure of Queen Street, from Dorset Street West to Walton Street, on Saturday September 28th from 5:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.;
  • Partial closure of Cavan Street, from Barrett Street to Jocelyn Street, limiting traffic to southbound traffic only, on Saturday September 28, 2019 from 5:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.;
  • Closure of Old Cavan Street, restricting access to local traffic only, on Saturday September 28, 2019 from 5:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.;
  • Restrict parking on the north side of Walton Street, from Queen Street to Mill Street on Saturday September 28, 2019 from 5:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.;
  • Intermittent Traffic Stoppages at Walton Street & Queen Street; Ontario Street & Trail connection; Barrett Street and Cavan Street between the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.


Transit Service Impact
On September 28, the public transit service (Route A) will not be stopping at the Queen Street Stop. It will instead continue straight to the Transfer Hub. The Transfer Hub will be relocated to Robertson Street to accommodate the road closures in the downtown.
