Public Meeting for Rezoning of Marsh Road Properties

Notice of Complete Application and Public Meeting Concerning a Proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment (ZB03-2019)

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Port Hope hereby considers an application to amend Zoning By-law 20/2010, as amended, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, submitted by Clark Consulting Services on behalf of the owners Matthew, Wade, Ward, John and Judith McKeen for lands in Part of Lot 12, Concession 2, Parts 3,4 & 5 of Registered Plan 39R-9743 located north of Marsh Road, in the Rural Area of the Municipality of Port Hope (see Figure 1: Subject Lands Map), to be a Complete Application in accordance with Section 34 (10.7) of the Planning Act. Furthermore, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Port Hope will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, to consider the proposed application.

The rezoning is being requested to satisfy a condition of provisional Consent with respect to Files B08/19 and B09/19. The purpose of the consent applications was to create three new residential lots. The applicant is proposing to rezone each of the proposed lots from Open Space ‘OS’ Zone to Rural Residential Exception 123 ‘RESR(123)’ Zone in order to permit smaller lot frontages (43.5m from the required 45.0m) for the three lots and to allow a single detached dwelling on each lot. The Holding (H3) Provision will be lifted through the rezoning process.

Additional information and material about the proposed by-law will be available to the public for inspection between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, at the Municipal Development Team Office, 5 Mill Street South, Port Hope.
