Voting Period for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election Officially Open

The voting period for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election is officially open, and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026.

Eligible electors can vote online or by telephone using the personalized voting information provided in their Voter Information Letter (VIL).

Residents who have not received a VIL can still be added to the Voters’ List in order to cast their ballot. Email the election team or call 905-885-4544 ext. 0 for assistance.

Toronto and Ridout Intersection Closure - October 8

Please be advised that the Toronto Road and Ridout Street intersection is currently closed as we address a watermain repair. Please avoid the area and use an alternate route.  

Some customers may experience low water pressure, and localized water shut-offs may be necessary to complete repairs. Crews are on-site working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and the intersection will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

Thanksgiving Holiday Closures

A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings, the Hope Transfer Station, Transit Services, the Town Park Recreation Centre, the Jack Burger Sports Complex, and the Public Library branches will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2026 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

All municipal services will resume at their usual business hours on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
