Port Hope Police Services Board Presents Results of

Community Consultations

(May 17, 2017) The Port Hope Police Services Board (PHPSB) will be presenting the results of a series of community consultation surveys it conducted in March and April of 2017.

“As required under the Police Services Act, all police services boards must consult with community stakeholders on policing priorities and satisfaction with police performance in the development of a three year business plan for its police service” said Jeff Gilmer, chair of the PHPSB. “The information received to date will be used to develop the 2018-2020 business plan for the Port Hope Police Service”.
Online surveys were tailored to four key stakeholder groups: residents of Ward one (as that is the catchment policed by the Port Hope Police Service); community partners that regularly interface with the Port Hope Police Service; the business sector; and school administrators. Community consultation also included an “Ask the Chief” session in October 2016 and a series of focus groups.
Community members are invited to attend the meeting where board members and the Port Hope Police Chief Bryant Wood will present the results from the surveys.
