Special Council Meeting – November 4, 2025

A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
At this meeting, Council will receive an interim report from Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. regarding the Ward Boundary Review and Council Composition Review, including next steps in the community engagement process.

Queen Street Closure – October 29, 2025

To accommodate the red carpet event for the Canadian premiere of IT: Welcome to Derry, please be advised of the following road closures taking effect on Wednesday, October 29, from 2:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. on October 30:
- Queen Street (from Walton Street to south of the Capitol Theatre)
- Elias Street (alleyway next to the Capitol Theatre)
The parking lot at 74 Queen Street will also be unavailable for public parking on October 29.

Downtown Closures to Accommodate HBIA Trick or Treat Night

The annual HBIA Trick or Treat night has grown in popularity, attracting over 500 children last year. This year, to improve safety and enhance the experience for all, there will be road closures to accommodate pedestrians.
From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, the following closures will be in place:
Road Closures- Walton Street (from Cavan Street to Mill Street)
- Ontario Street (from Thompson Drive to Walton) local traffic only to Brogdens Lane
