Part-time Library Page
Port Hope Public Library is looking for a part-time page to work a schedule of hours outside the school day. This would be of interest to those attending secondary school. The successful candidate will perform, under close supervision, a variety of routine tasks related to the maintenance, shelving and shelf reading of Library materials and other duties as assigned. Some experience in a school library would be an asset.

Pages work approximately 10 hours per week on a varied schedule which includes Saturdays and Sundays. The current rate of pay is $13.15 per hour. This is a Union position - CUPE Local 749-01.

Summer Literacy and Mathematics Tutor

Port Hope Public Library requires two post-secondary students to provide literacy and mathematics tutoring for our summer tutor program. Duties include promotion of the tutor program, providing tutoring for students in Kindergarten through grade 8 and program evaluation. Tutors will be focused on meeting tutor program goals and objectives and developing individualized resources for students.

Education, Skills and Experience
1. Completion of one year of post-secondary education
2. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
3. Proficiency in French or experience as a tutor would be an asset

The position is for 10 weeks of employment: 35 hours scheduled throughout the month of June and Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm from June 25 through August 24, 2018.
