CURBSIDE BULKY WASTE COLLECTION FOR URBAN RESIDENTS ONLY

The Works and Engineering Department of the Municipality of Port Hope is offering a curbside collection service for residents who do not have access to a vehicle that would allow them to use a bulky waste voucher.

The curbside collection service for urban residents of the Municipality of Port Hope will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. The non-refundable fee for the collection service is fifty dollars ($50.00), plus one bulky waste voucher. Registration closes at 12:00 p.m. on the Monday before the scheduled pick-up date.

Residents who want to register should attend at the Works and Engineering Department located at the Municipal Development Team Office at 5 Mill Street South.

All of the normal rules for the County of Northumberland’s Bulky Waste Voucher Program apply - there will be no collection of tires, household waste, hazardous waste or metal items. Residents who are registered for the Bulky Waste Pick up program are permitted to dispose up to 100 kilograms of bulky waste and are required to place items at the curb on the Sunday before the scheduled pick-up.

For questions, please contact the Works and Engineering Department at 905.885.2431.
