A Statement from Mayor Bob Sanderson Regarding Councillor Robert Polutnik

On Tuesday, February 6, 2018, Councillor Robert Polutnik tendered his resignation in writing with the Municipal Clerk. Per the procedure outlined in the Municipal Act, the resignation has been filed by the Clerk and the office is vacant, effective immediately.

The sanctions recommended by the Integrity Commissioner in his report included on the February 6, 2018 Regular Council agenda are no longer applicable, as the member is no longer in office.

The Clerk will bring forward a report at the next Regular Council meeting to begin the process of filling the vacant seat.
