Program Registration Dates/Times

Summer: June 12 - 28, 2017 for the weekly sessions running July 3 to August 27/17 

FALL: Register August 28 to Sept 6 for the session of Sept 11 to Nov 19, 2017 (programs at the Town Park Recreation Centre to begin the week of Sept 18)

Registration Process

Payment is required at the time of registration and may be in the form of cash, cheque, debit and now CREDIT CARD! Make cheques payable to the Municipality of Port Hope. ($25 charge for NSF cheques). Phone registrations accepted with credit card payment.

Changes
A $14.50 administration fee will be charged on any changes requested after the registration has been processed.

Refunds and Credit Notes

A $14.50 administration fee will be charged on all refund requests. The only exception is for refunds that are accompanied with medical proof. Refunds requested after the start of a session are subject to pro-rating based on classes completed. Credit on account is available when participants are forced to cancel their registration in any program or aquatic class. The credit is not subject to an administration fee but is, however, subject to pro-rating.

Multi-Child Discount

a girl with goggles in the pool waves at the side of the poolAPPLIES TO IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS ONLY - 5% off the second child and 10% off each additional child. Applies to Pre-School/Swim Kids and all children's programs and day camps.

Program Cancellations

In order to provide quality programs the Department may not run a program due to insufficient registration. If your class is cancelled or the changed time does not fit your schedule, a full refund or credit will be given with no administration fee.

Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)

Rates and fees in our program listings include HST where applicable.

Fee Assistance / Subsidy

a lifeguard stands at the edge of the pool watching swimmersThe Municipality of Port Hope believes that everyone should have the chance to participate. Fees for participation should not be a barrier. In December 2009 a fee assistance policy was adopted by Council. For information regarding level of assistance available please ask staff.

Photos

The use of photographically capable cell phones, cameras and video cameras is not permitted in change rooms/washrooms. Taking photos or making videos/audio recordings without permission in ANY context in which the person has a reasonable expectation of privacy is prohibited.
