Annual Arts Festival Returns August 8

The annual Port Hope Arts Festival returns on Saturday, August 8, 2026, featuring many of the traditional favourites, including the 10-Minute Play Series, an outdoor artisan market, wagon rides, hands-on activities, and a community gathering in Memorial Park.
The beloved 10-Minute Play Series will feature 15 different short plays across 8 locations throughout the day, ranging from comedies to thought-provoking dramas. Performances will take place on the hour and the half hour between 11:00 a.m....
Traffic Delay Notice: Thursday July 2 – Toronto Road

Please be advised that traffic delays are expected on Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. along Toronto Road between Fraser Street and Ridout Street.
The delays are necessary to accommodate road cutting, saw cutting, and hydro-vac excavation work for the Victoria street / Toronto Road Reconstruction Project.
Traffic Control will be in place to safely manage vehicle and pedestrian movement; however, motorists should expect delays and plan for additional travel time.

New Bus Stop: Walton and Brown Streets

Please be advised that a new bus stop has been installed along the A Route at the Walton Street and Brown Street intersection.
This addition was made in response to feedback from riders regarding the distance between existing spots. We appreciate the input we received and are pleased to introduce this new location to better serve the community and improve accessibility along the route.

Residents are advised that Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the area. Daytime highs through much of the week are expected to be 31°C to 36°C with humidex values of 38°C t0 46°C. The extreme heat alert is forecasted to dissipate beginning Saturday, July 4.
