A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
At this meeting, Council will receive a presentation from Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. regarding the Final Consultant Report and Recommendations arising from the Ward Boundary and Council Composition Review. Minor Transit Changes to Accommodate the Victoria Street Reconstruction

With the upcoming closure of Victoria Street South (June 1, 2026) for reconstruction, Transit Services will implement minor route changes starting that day. These changes will remain in effect until the project is completed in the fall.
To avoid the closure area, Route A will double back along Strachan Street (rather than turning on Victoria). The bus will travel via Corbet Street and Drummond Street before returning to Strachan Street. As a result, bus stop A10 will move west to the south side...
Sanitary Sewer Flushing

Residents are advised that vactor truck flushing and CCTV camera inspections of the sanitary sewer system will begin on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and will occur until the end of June 2026. During this time, there will be minor traffic impacts and, for public and staff safety, occasional night work to avoid high traffic volumes.

East Beach Transit Stop

If you need a ride to/from East Beach this summer, we have you covered. Beginning Friday, May 15, we will again be offering a temporary stop at East Beach for the summer. This additional stop runs on Bus Route B and will stop approximately 55 minutes past every hour until Labour Day. Enjoy the beach!
