MEDIA RELEASE: MINISTRY OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND FORESTRY PLANS OUTREACH VISIT IN PORT HOPE

Representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) will be stopping by the Ganaraska River in the Municipality of Port Hope this Saturday, September 9, beginning at 11:00 a.m., in an effort to offer educational resources to the community and to help promote Port Hope’s “Respect the River” campaign.

The visit by the MNRF will include their Enforcement Outreach Trailer, which will be located adjacent to the River, just north of Rotary Park. MNRF representatives will be at the Trailer with interactive and educational information regarding natural resource violations, including impacts on the community and how to report a potential resource violation.

All are welcome and encouraged to drop by the Trailer this Saturday. More information regarding fishing in Port Hope can be found at visitporthope.ca/fishing
