It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Jerry Siebarth, Transit Coordinator for the Municipality of Port Hope.

Jerry joined the Municipality in 2018 during the transition of our transit service from a contracted model to a municipal service. In his role, he provided leadership and support to transit employees, operations, and municipal crossing guards. Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services is calling on all residents to test their smoke alarms on September 28 as part of Test Your Smoke Alarm Day. Be prepared to be Saved by the Beep with a working smoke alarm – it is your best chance to keep you and your family safe in the event of a fire.

Transit Outage - September 26, 2025

Please be advised that Transit Routes A, B, and C are currently out of service until 5:30 p.m. today due to a mechanical failure of another transit vehicle.
