Members of the media and the community are invited and encouraged to attend the 30th annual Civic Awards Ceremony, presented by the Municipality of Port Hope, on Thursday, April 26, 2018, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Cameco Capitol Arts Centre, 20 Queen Street, Port Hope.
This public event is a celebration of the dedicated volunteers and civic-minded individuals in our community and the doors are open for all to attend.

What: 30th Annual Civic Awards Ceremony
Where: Cameco Capitol Arts Centre, 20 Queen Street, Port Hope
When: Thursday, April 26, 2018
           Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
           Awards Presentation begins at 7 p.m. 

Ceremony Details:
• The event emcee will be York Bell-Smith and award presenters will be members of Council for the Municipality of Port Hope.

• The Port Hope Pipe Band will be performing in front of the Capitol Theatre as guests arrive – weather permitting.

• Beginning at 6:30 p.m. until 7: p.m., musical guest Greatest of Ease will be on the civic awards stage, providing a selection of music for the audience as they arrive inside the theatre; this band will also lead the singing of O Canada.

• This year’s ceremony will feature two short entertainment interludes; Jennifer’s Jazz it Up studio of dance, and Eile and Ayisha Hannigan.

• The two final awards of the night will be the Outstanding Youth and Outstanding Citizen.

• Following the ceremony all recipients and guests will be invited to the Sculthorpe Room for a reception.
