Temporary Water Service Outage – Downtown-West Area

As part of the ongoing Walton Street Reconstruction Project, a scheduled water shut off will take place on Tuesday, July 15, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to facilitate a critical connection between the new and existing watermains.
This work is a key step toward completing the watermain upgrade and will allow for safety testing and, ultimately, property connections to the new system.

The revitalization work being completed by Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) at the Chemetron Lagoon (part of the Port Hope Area Initiative) is progressing well. We are excited to announce that the parking lot and access to the Waterfront Trail are now open for through-only access.
