Fitness Loop

Get out and get active!  Come try the new outdoor fitness loop!  The fitness loop is approximately 2km in length and includes 6 physical activity stations from Barrett Street Bridge to the Riverside Park and back.    

Station 1: Peace Park (Cochingomink Trail)
Exercise: Plank/Seated Curl Ups

Station 2: Brogdan's Lane Area (Cochingomink Trail)
Exercise: Jumping Jacks/Hamstring Curls

Station 3: Port Hope Library (Cochingomink Trail)
Exercise: Push-Ups/Hip Extensions

Station 4: Riverside Park
Exercise: Squats/Standing Leg Lifts

Station 5: Eastside Ganaraska Park
Exercise: Burpees/Heel Raises

Station 6: Kinsmen Park (Ganaraska Hiking Trail)
Exercise: Lunges/Sit to Stand

Want to continue your fitness after you complete the loop?  End your loop at the exercise equipment at the Cavan Street Fitness Park which includes a chest press, air walker, leg press, cycle, bars, and a cross trainer!  Please note: the fitness equipment is designed for those aged 13 years and older.

Looking for more family fun after the fitness loop?  End your loop at the Riverside Interactive Park and play ping pong, twister, corn hole, tic tac toe and other great games with your family and friends!  Remember the Riverside Interactive Park equipment can be signed out from the Town Park Recreation Centre or the Jack Burger Sports Complex.

Public washrooms and parking are available at different points along the route.
