Council
In June 2007, Council adopted the Municipality of Port Hope Corporate Strategic Plan with the objective of reviewing the plan on an annual basis. In November 2008, Council and Department Heads participated in a review exercise and the draft plan was circulated for review and comment by Council, Department Heads, Municipal Committees, Chamber of Commerce, the Heritage Business Improvement Area, and the public. Comments received were incorporated, where considered appropriate and the final, updated plan was approved by Council to include terms of reference clearly defining each Goal Area, incorporating new projects and priorities and allowing for public input. The Corporate Strategic Plan 2009 was approved and adopted on June 2, 2009.

The Municipality of Port Hope commissioned a study to prepare a conceptual plan for the future development of the Port Hope harbour and adjacent lands. The final plan can be viewed in the Planning Development Department Services at Town Hall or download a copy through the link provided.
