Day Camps


The Municipality of Port Hope offers fun and exciting day camp programs during all school holidays and throughout the summer! Port Hope Day Camp is proud to be accredited through the High Five program. We believe in the importance of quality recreation programs for the healthy development of children. We are committed to bringing the HIGH FIVE vision to life in our community.

PA Day Craze (September to June)

Multiple options for children during school P.A. Days. Come to the Town Park Recreation Centre and Jack Burger Sports Complex for a variety of drop in activities including gym and youth centre activities, swimming, youth shinny, skating, crafts and other fun planned activities available each P.A. Day.  Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by a caregiver 15 years and up (babysitters, grandparents, etc). Each PA Day Craze Schedule available at our P.A. Day Craze page. Location: Town Park Recreation Centre OR Jack Burger Sports Complex

Dates: 2019- June 7

Ages: 4-16 years

Fee: $5/day/child or purchase a pass.  Regular admission fees apply for caregivers for each activity.

Summer Daycamp


Registration is ongoing throughout the spring and summer, Mon-Thurs at 8:30am-8pm.  Children need to be registered no later than the Thursday prior to the week they plan to attend camp.  Join us for a week of age appropriate activities, swimming, excursions and more.  Sign up for the full week to be eligible to attend the trip option!

Ages: 4-12 years

Weekly Rate of $133.40/child or daily rate of $35.10/child

2nd and 3rd child discounts

Regular camp hours are 8:30am-4:30pm

Extended hours available for an additional fee 7am-8:30am and 4:30-6pm

Specialty Camps offered such as Jr Firefighter, Jr Lifeguard, Sports Camp, Camp Outback, Camp Canvas, Innovators Camp, Kids in the Kitchen, Waterfront Camp, Rural Roots Camp, Magnificent You and Tennis Camp.

Leadership courses offered for youth 12-15yrs.  First Year is Leaders in Training (LIT) and second year is Counsellor in Training (CIT).  Youth will then volunteer at camp throughout the summer.  Great for resume building and fun way to get community hours for high school.  Email the Youth Coordinator for more information
