Subject Lands: Part of Lots 3, 4 and 5, Registered Plan 34 (described as “1 Thompson Drive”)

The Municipality of Port Hope has received a complete draft plan of subdivision application for the subject lands.

The subject lands are currently vacant and have a lot area of 0.22 ha (0.54 ac) with frontage on Thompson Drive (26.0m), Mill Street North (46.3m) and Ontario Street (92.5m). The property is situated east of Ontario Street, south of Thompson Drive, and west of Mill Street North in the Urban Area of the Municipality of Port Hope. The Ganaraska River is located to the south of the subject lands.

Proposal

The purpose of the proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision application is to facilitate the development of 17 townhouses in a freehold tenure on the subject lands. The proposed plan also includes a ‘common element’ consisting of a visitor and accessible parking area.
The subject lands are currently designated ‘Central Commercial’ and ‘Physical Constraint Area’ in the Municipality of Port Hope Official Plan and are zoned Downtown Commercial Exception ‘COM3(44)’ Zone and Environmental Protection – Floodplain ‘EP-F’ Overlay Zone by Zoning By-law 20/2010, as amended.

Project Status: Circulation

Municipality of Port Hope staff have commenced review of the applications and have circulated the application materials to the prescribed persons and public agencies for review and comment.
Please note that the required statutory public meeting will be held on a date to be determined and that further notice of this meeting will be provided in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13. and will also be posted to this website.
The Public Review period for the proposed Subdivision is open for public commenting.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of Municipality of Port Hope in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision, you must make a written request to Municipality of Port Hope at the address 56 Queen Street, Port Hope ON L1A 3Z9.
Additional information relating to the proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision (file #SU01-2018) is available for review between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday at the Municipal Development Team Office located at 5 Mill Street South, Port Hope.
