The Municipality of Port Hope has received a complete draft plan of subdivision and zoning by-law amendment application for the subject lands.

The property is situated west of County Road 65, north of 5th Line, in the Hamlet of Osaca in the Municipality of Port Hope. Two natural heritage features, a designated wetlands area and a creek, are respectively located to the west and north of the subject lands.

The purpose of the proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision application is to facilitate the development of 20 lots for 20 single detached dwellings in a freehold tenure on the subject lands. A proposed road from County Road 65 will provide access to all properties.

The purpose of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone a 5.86 ha (14.48 ac) portion of the subject lands from Development ‘D’ Zone to Hamlet Residential One Exception 121 ‘RESV1(121)’ Zone for residential development. The 3.52 ha (8.70 ac) balance of the subject lands will be rezoned to Environmental Protection ‘EP’ Zone and will remain in an undisturbed natural state.
