Pool Schedules and Fees 

The Jack Burger Sports Complex houses a 25 metre pool, therapy pool and whirlpool. As an authorized provider of Red Cross and Lifesaving Society swim programs, children, youth, adults and seniors can participate in structured swim lessons or drop in for one of our open swim times. Swim supplies are available at the Customer Service Desk.

Admission Standards for the Pool at the Jack Burger Sports Complex

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of children using the facility during public and family swims, the following admission standards are in place.  Supervision and ratio requirements will be strictly upheld.

If swim test is passed = Green wristband and can swim in both pools

If cannot pass the swim test = Red wristband.  Must stay in small pool or shallow end of 25m pool only.

  1. Children 5 years and under ALWAYS accompanied by a caregiver in arms reach at a ratio of 1:3
  2. Children 6-9 years who cannot pass the swim test, receive a Red wristband and ALWAYS accompanied by a caregiver in arms reach at a ratio of 1:4
  3. Children 6-7 years who can pass the swim test receive a Green wristband.  Caregiver must remain in the pool and the child must complete the swim test each visit.
  4. Children 8-9 years of age and can pass the swim test receive a Green wristband.  Caregiver must remain in the facility.
  5. Children 10-13 years of age.  No supervision is required (please note that all family swims require adults with children based on swim description).

Caregiver Must be at least 14yrs of age and are responsible for the children in their care while in the facility.

Facility Swim Test = Must swim continuously 1 length of the 25m pool.  Any aged swimmer may be asked to do the swim test.
